The music is part of the film soundtrack of Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (1983) Japanese film directed by Nagisa Oshima. The more well known version features David Sylvian on vocals accompanying with Mr. Sakamoto.
This song just pure perfection. I can't stop listening to it. I can listen to it over and over again all day. I'd be so happy if one day I learnt how to play this song on a piano.
